Eating disorders
Charity supporting anyone who is affected by eating disorders or difficulties with food, weight and shape. Beat can provide information and support on eating disorders including anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder and compulsive and emotional overeating. The support is offered to people with eating disorders, families, friends, professionals, adults and young people across the UK. The support is available through Helplines, online support groups, message boards, and peer support groups and HelpFinder, an online directory of support services. Beat also provides training, resources and consultancy. Support and encourage research into eating disorders and challenge stereotypes and stigma. Calls to the helpline are free from mobiles and landlines in the UK and do not appear on itemised bills.
