FreeVA - Sexual Violence Helpline
Support and information to anyone affected by domestic violence, rape and sexual assault
Freeva is the front door to commissioned domestic and sexual abuse services across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, providing specialist, trauma-informed support to people affected by domestic abuse, sexual violence, and harmful behaviours.
Support includes a confidential helpline, refuge and safe accommodation, and one-to-one outreach casework offering risk assessment, safety planning, advocacy and practical support.
Freeva delivers specialist sexual violence support through ISVA and CHISVA (Children and Young People’s ISVA) services, supporting adults, children and young people with reporting options, the criminal justice process, and recovery. Freeva also supports children and young people displaying harmful or abusive behaviours, offering early intervention and tailored support to promote safer, healthier relationships.
Additional services include tailored support for men, programmes for those using harmful behaviours to promote accountability and change, and the Forces for Change service, which offers tailored support to armed forces personnel, veterans and their families affected by abuse.
Freeva also provides community engagement, training and awareness-raising to help prevent abuse and strengthen community responses. All services are survivor-centred, focusing on safety, empowerment and recovery.
