The helpline is for people of all ages who are worried that someone else is going to run or that they are being treated badly or abused. Further support includes 1-2-1 chat available 2.30pm-9.30pm via website. Runaway Helpline is run by the UK charity Missing People.

The MND Connect helpline offers people access to help and advice, practical and emotional support and direction to other services and agencies. The service is for people living with MND, carers, family members, health and social care professionals and MND Association staff and volunteers. The helpline team can provide information about MND and how to cope with symptoms, offer medical, social, practical and financial information, advise on the services that MND Assocation can offer and send leaflets and information sheets. The service can also put callers in touch with an Association Visitor, local Branch/Group or Regional Care Development Adviser or signpost to appropriate services.

The MND Association benefits advice service provides advice by phone and e-mail in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, it also provides advice via web chat in England and Wales. Qualified advisers will help identify the benefits you may be able to claim and work out the best way of claiming them. They can also deal with complex benefits issues on your behalf and appeal against decisions. Depending upon where you live and your circumstances they may be able to arrange a home visit to help with the completion of forms. Calls to 0808 80 numbers are free from landlines and mobiles in the UK and do not appear on itemised bills.
