Announcing our keynote speaker

We are delighted to announce that the keynote speaker for our Annual Conference and Helpline Awards 2025 is the amazing and inspirational Nicky Pattinson.

Nicky is a successful businesswoman and international speaker whose life has been tragic in parts but unforgettably productive and brilliant in others.

Born in Yorkshire, Nicky began her career working in a shoe shop at 16 and couldn’t understand how she could sell more shoes in one day than most did in a week, and more in a week than most did in a month.

She does now, and the answer is nothing to do with sales.

She became a market trader with a hugely successful £2million business. It was during her years in the markets where she learned about life and what really makes a person a SOMEONE.

It’s not a spoiler to reveal…it’s not money.

Nicky will talk about life, loss, personal tragedy, resilience and what really matters in life. She’ll be sharing her experiences and advice for coming through sad and challenging times and focusing on what makes people special.

Kindness, compassion and connection are at the core of everything Nicky has done and, in her straight-talking Yorkshire style, she speaks with humour and heart.
