Ash's story: 'The CALM helpline was an absolutely invaluable lifeline'

The CALM helpline was an absolutely invaluable lifeline which came to me when I needed it the most. My intention was to just use it as a journal, so that I could unload everything that I was feeling, knowing that the only person who would see it would be someone who didn’t know me, which made it a lot easier to open up. But it ended up being much more than that.

The help and support I received from the helpline staff was amazing. They helped me gain some clarity on the situations that I was going through and helped me make a plan for the future on how best to manage the things that were dragging me down. The CALM helpline has and will continue to save so many lives of people just like me—a father, a husband, a brother, a son. I’ll forever be in debt to CALM for helping me turn my life around into what it is today.
