Confidential safeguarding helpline providing 7am-midnight support, 7- days a week, information and advice to workers, leaders, trustees, parents, carers, professionals and survivors. The helpline team can provide advice and support on a wide range of safeguarding standards, including policy and practice guidance, safer recruitment, responding to and managing allegations of abuse, management of those who may pose a risk (for example offenders) in faith settings (we over 40 years of experience in faith-based contexts) charities and elsewhere and personal help with concerns about non-recent abuse or re-offending. The Helpline is staffed within office hours by Helpline Practitioners. If the call is more complex or a more serious safeguarding matter, the call is passed to Safeguarding Advisers who work on a rota. They are professionals (including social workers, ex-police officers and counsellors) who have experience in the field of safeguarding. Call answered directly if outside office hours.

Opening Times Helpline: Office Hours Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm; Out of Hours Mon-Fri 5pm-Midnight and 7am-9am the following morning; Weekend Friday 5pm-Midnight; Saturdays and Sundays 7am-Midnight and Monday 7am-9am and on public holidays. However, this is for urgent matters that cannot wait until the next working day).
