LawCare
LawCare is the mental wellbeing charity for the legal profession offering free, confidential, emotional support, peer support, and resources to those working in the law.
Leeds Survivor Led Crisis Service - Connect Helpline
Emotional support for people in crisis, those who are lonely and carers of people with mental health problems. Provides information on mental health and carers' issues. Signposts to other organisations and holds weekend evening class discussions, social and support groups. A survivor led service, run, managed and staffed by people with their own experience of emotional distress.
Leeds Women's Aid
A 24-hour anonymous telephone support line providing emotional support and information for women affected by or fleeing domestic violence and abuse. Support also extends to those worried about someone else or to make a self- referral to the service. Professionals can request information or advice for clients. Further support includes drop-in, refuge, support groups for women, Team of IDVA’s providing assistance with the criminal justice system.
Leukaemia CARE
24 hour helpline and support for people whose lives are affected by leukaemia, lymphoma and other allied blood disorders. Provides care and support, a network of regional care teams, local contacts and support groups. Has a patient advocacy service and provides limited financial support for families in need. Has a year round holiday programme.
Licensed Trade Charity
The Licensed Trade Charity supports people who work or have worked in pubs, bars and breweries. Provide emotional support and practical advice via the helpline and financial grants to people facing difficulty. Can help with issues including mental health, housing, health, money, education and training. Calls to the helpline are free from landlines and mobiles in the UK and do not appear on itemised bills.
Life
Life is creating a world where no one faces pregnancy or pregnancy loss alone. The Life National Helpline provides free, non-directive counselling and skilled listening around pregnancy, pregnancy loss, abortion issues, and emotional support during pregnancy and afterwards. This is delivered through phone, text, and email. Further support can be given in the form of practical assistance, or links to a network of supported accommodation for pregnant women and /or mothers of small children.
Lifecentre
A confidential helpline for survivors or supporters of rape and sexual abuse. Helpline, text and email services available nationally. Offers face to face counselling to any survivor of sexual trauma, whether this was recent or in the past. The counselling service is available in West Sussex. Also offers counselling to the close supporters of survivors such as parents, partners etc. To make a referral contact the office.

Lifecraft
Helpline proving a listening service, emotional support and guidance through a current crisis. Can provide information on mental health issues, including the availability of statutory and voluntary mental health and voluntary services and self-help groups.
Lifeline Aotearoa
Lifeline Aotearoa's 24/7 helpline offers free, confidential support. Volunteers on the community helplines provide a caring and professional service to a wide range of people in need. The Team deal with many issues including psychological and emotional distress, financial and work issues, marriage and family problems. The Helpline also provide support to callers who are lonely, ill, depressed or the victims of violence or abuse.
