Helpline providing free, confidential and impartial information and advice to family and friends carers in West Sussex. The Team can provide local and national information on services available for carers, including benefits and financial information. Free newsletter also available. Further support from the Team includes an Emotional Support Service for carers who need time to talk through concerns and specialist Carer Support Workers who provide individual support to people caring for someone with any long term illness or disability. Specialist workers can offer practical and emotional support to parent carers, young adult carers and carers dealing with mental health and learning difficulties, Autism and Asperger Syndrome, drugs and alcohol. The website has information and links to useful carer and support organisations.
